The Bobil Electric tanks allow you to heat water electrically (12V, 230V or both), perfect for use in a campervan or marine hot water system.
 
The 800W AC versions can be connected to your electric hookup socket (or inverter)
The 200W DC versions can be used with your 12V leisure battery and comes with a fully programable controller that will stop the battery being discharged and allow any incoming power from the solar panel or battery to battery charger to be used to heat the water automatically for FREE hot water!
The Dual Element tank can do both which can be run simultaneously.

The Bobil Electric hot water system can heat the water up to 75 degrees Celsius and easily sustains a comfortable shower temperature in your motorhome or narrowboat for multiple people. Check out the timings in the product spec.
 
You can choose from no controller or our simple controller. The simple controller displays the water temperature, the status of the 12V element and battery voltage. You can also set the voltage at which your 12V element will turn on and off automatically at, meaning you can set it to come on when your batteries are full, and on sunny days, this means you get essentially free hot water! If you choose no controller, this is only available for the 230V or 12V only tanks, as the knob on the tank will control the tank temperature instead of the controller.
 
The Bobil Electric tanks are insulated, pressurised tanks and easily connect to your existing water supply. They have integrated tank connectors and requires very little power to maintain the temperature. Suitable for all water pumps up to 45PSI, and the ½” male BSP fittings will accept all common plumbing fittings. If you would like to use a higher-pressure pump than 45PSI, please contact us.
 
To pair the Bobil Electric hot water tank with your water system, we suggest the following additions:
Expansion Tank - this allows the expanded water from the heating process to stay within the system; else it will leak out through the drain valve. If you purchase our complete plumbing kit then you will get this included! Or you can purchase one here. 
Fresh Water Pump - whilst the tank is pressurised, you will need to provide water pressure for the tank to fill and provide hot water. You can purchase this here, or it is also included in our complete plumbing kit.
Thermostatic Mixer Valve - keeping the hot water tank at 60C or higher is ideal to prevent bacteria growth in the tank, and to maximise hot water usage, but you may not want 60C water coming out the hot tap, especially if you have children. You can purchase this here, or it is an optional extra in our complete plumbing kit.

12V DC/Dual Element Additions (Simple Controller only)
These versions heat your water using excess battery/solar power so in summer you can have hot water for free! 
The DC element will activate when the system sees enough power to activate the element, so when you are generating at least 200 watts from driving, via solar or through a battery charger, the element will activate and start heating the water. To run predominantly from solar, we would recommend installing at least 300 watts of solar panels.
Turn on/off voltages are programmable via the Simple Controller.
 
This system is supplied with bare wires. Product is CE marked. It complies with the requirements of the European health, safety and environmental protection legislations.
