VARDO

Inspired by, and painted in the beautiful Farrow and ball paint of the same name, Vardo was a project to revitalise a tired conversion and give this van a new lease of life.

 

From its original form of drab, broken furniture and a poor layout, we stripped out all of the old furniture and rebuilt her from the ground up! The moroccan sink and brass fittings complement the paint colour perfectly, with spraypainted mandala patterns finishing the look.

Combining these colours with the bold upholstery and natural wood cupboards transformed this van beyond all recognition.

Key Features:

With this conversion, we stripped out the entire van and started from scratch with the build. 

An existing electrical and heating system already was there before we took this van in for a spruce up and rebuild.

Vardo now has a new lease of life and is ready for the road once more to be filled with memories.

KORU

This LWB sprinter was an absolute joy from start to finish, with an electrical system to rival any van and absolutely packed full of features and details. The brief was to allow the two users to have independent workspaces at the front of the van, so we utilized the front seats and the seating area to create a two table layout. The table in the seating area then drops into the gap between the two seats, creating a comfy sofa which can be used to watch films on the large projector screen. The fixed bed allows a large garage, and the full size shower cubicle allows long showers from the 100 litre water tank.

  • Large 85 litre Vitrifrigo fridge.

RORY

Named after the red squirrel, Rory means 'red' in Scottish Gaelic, and red squirrel spotting in Scotland will be the first activity of the proud owners of Rory, our latest conversion. Rory is designed as a fully off grid camper hideout, with colours from Farrow and Ball's 'Nature' range. The soft greens and neutral grey tones blend seamlessly with the fabrics and leather door pulls to create a welcoming and inviting space, off grid yet still warm and cosy. The clever pull out bed system allows it to slide away in the daytime opening up a cosy eating space with pull out table, but pulls out in seconds to form a full double bed. Extra length is provided by creating recesses into the body of the van, and a custom mattress makes the most of the available space. Fully equipped with lithium batteries, there's no need for gas in this van as the power system will happily run miniature ovens, toasters, kettles and the induction hob. Heat is provided by a 2kw Autoterm diesel heater which looks after both air and water heating, providing a perfect hideout for squirrel spotting!

TREVOR

Trevor is a mobile office and adventure van. He has 300aH lithium batteries along with 400 watts of solar power to keep him powered up whilst working on the go. The customer is a wood fanatic so we've kept Trevor as woody as possible, with some clean and crisp features to aid focus when in work mode.  He’s also a beast to look at with a rear ladder and rear wheel mount, and with off road adventure in mind he’s got a roof rack ready for kayaks/paddle boards. Also boasting an indoor and outdoor shower, Trevor is the perfect accompaniment to an outdoor escapade

WANDA

Wanda was built with the beach in mind - a bright, open, spacious van that has a calming sea vibe. The raising bed is the highlight here, with just one switch to operate it, it raises to the ceiling when not in use allowing for 2 large bench seats (with storage), and provides a 28cm deep mattress that is 1.4M wide by 2M long for an exceptional night’s sleep! With a full lithium set up, induction hob and extra large bed; this van is pure luxury.

SIRIUS

Sirius was a build for a customer that is a keen cycler and photographer. His main consideration was boot space for 2 bikes, and on board water of 95L. He opted for no upholstery and provided his own mattress. A clean, spacious build with all the functionality desired.

VISHNU

Vishnu is a Vauxhall Movano, and was built for a couple looking to go on an adventure! They decided to take their work on the road and live in the van full time #workfromvan.

In consideration of this, ample battery power was needed, especially as they decided against electric hook up - envisaging wild camping more on the trip. Consequently spec as follows:

SALTY

Salty was built to be a combination of office space and family van. It needed to have adequate light for online meetings, and also space for a family of 3. In a transit custom this was quite a challenge! But achievable...with a funky yellow pop top and a rope ladder for access to another sleeping area.

GILGAMESH

Gilgamesh was built for a solo female traveller and has extra security features, such as dead locks on the doors, a safe and quick access through to the cab.

A large bed with a proper mattress was essential for her, as well as hot water, an outdoor shower and an oven. All in a MWB sprinter.

WILSON

Wilson was the 'original' bobil van, designed by Ed and Gabriella for their 4 month Europe trip. Their key consideration was storage so that they were well equipped for all terrains and all weathers. Plus the essential space for a BBQ in the boot!
